Jonathan Cahn didn’t begin his latest prophetic message with politics.
He didn’t begin with an election, a political party or even Kamala Harris.
He began with a warning.
“We war not against flesh and blood,” he said. “We war against spirits, principalities, rulers.”
From there, Cahn invited listeners on what he described as a journey through history, Scripture and ancient civilizations—one clue leading to another until, he argued, they converged on one of the most recognizable figures in American politics today.
“This is not about a person,” Cahn said more than once throughout the message. “We got to pray for all people. We have no enemies, but we got to recognize the signs of the times.”
What followed was what Cahn called an “avatar mystery.”
The First Clue: What Is an Avatar?
Before mentioning Kamala Harris, Cahn laid the foundation for everything that followed.
He explained that ancient pagan civilizations believed their rulers were more than political leaders. They were earthly representatives of spiritual powers.
“What’s an avatar?” he asked. “The word comes from India. An avatar is a person or being that embodies or manifests or represents another person or being, particularly a god.”
According to Cahn, Babylon’s kings and Egypt’s pharaohs were viewed this way.
“The kings and queens of Babylon were considered avatars of the Babylonian gods. The kings and queens of Egypt, the pharaohs, were considered avatars of the Egyptian gods.”
For Cahn, this wasn’t simply history. It was a pattern.
“You see, when you take God out, creates a vacuum and strange things happen,” he said. “Other spirits come in.”
That led to the question he wanted viewers to wrestle with.
“So, the question as we emptied the house of God… could we have gone to the next stage now? The stage of the avatars where there are actually representatives of these gods or principalities… even on our national stage now vying to rule the nation.”
The mystery, he suggested, was only beginning.
The Second Clue: A Name That Caught His Attention
Cahn then turned away from governments and kingdoms to something much smaller—a name.
“The reason why she’s called Kamala, do you know why?” he asked. “Kamala is the name of an ancient pagan goddess.”
Then he pointed to another detail.
“What is it? Her middle name is Devi. What does that mean? Devi means the goddess, literally.”
To Cahn, those details were significant because of the biblical importance often attached to names.
“In the Bible, the name of a person is often significant… often reveals the mystery of that person.”
He paused before drawing his conclusion.
“Her name means the goddess Kamala… Kamala the goddess.”
The mystery wasn’t that Harris possessed those names. It was what he believed those names symbolized within a larger spiritual picture.

The Third Clue: A Family Line
The next piece of the puzzle, according to Cahn, was Harris’ heritage.
He noted that she was born into a Brahmin family, the priestly class within Hindu tradition.
“In the land from which the word avatar comes, that is India,” he said, “it is the belief that there is one line especially conducive to producing avatars… It’s the house in the line of the Brahmans, the priests of the pagan gods.”
He then connected that background to his broader thesis.
“From the house of the Brahmans was born a person you know as Kamala Harris.”
Again, Cahn reminded viewers that he was asking them to consider a pattern rather than merely isolated facts.
Could these details, he asked, be “revealing a mystery?”
The Fourth Clue: More Than One Coincidence
As the message progressed, Cahn began layering connection upon connection.
He pointed to Harris’ sister, Maya.
He pointed to the family name Gopalan.
He pointed to Hindu traditions involving Lakshmi, Kamala and Gopala.
“The goddess Kamala is linked to Maya,” he said. “Kamala’s sister is named Maya.”
Moments later he added another piece.
“The goddess Kamala is linked to Gopala. Kamala’s family Hindu name is Gopala.”
Individually, Cahn acknowledged, each detail might appear unremarkable.
Together, he argued, they formed what he believed was a consistent pattern.
The Fifth Clue: The Waters
The mystery then shifted from names to geography.
Cahn recounted the Hindu origin story of the goddess Kamala emerging from the waters.
“So, the rise of the goddess Kamala is connected to the waters of the ocean.”
He immediately connected that imagery to Harris’ political career.
“Where did her rise begin? Right in San Francisco on the waters of the ocean.”
He continued.
“The woman Kamala, like the goddess Kamala, begins her rise… linked to the ocean waters.”
By this point, Cahn had begun weaving together names, family background and geography into what he believed was one unfolding narrative.
The Sixth Clue: The Number Two Ruler
The next connection centered on Harris’ role as vice president.
“The goddess Kamala becomes the number two ruler in the land,” Cahn said, “like the vice president.”
He contrasted that with President Joe Biden’s public nickname.
“Vishnu was called the sleeping god.”
“Biden was called Sleepy Joe.”
Then came another parallel.
“As Biden faded, Kamala rises to overshadow him and seeks the throne herself.”
The Seventh Clue: The Laughing Goddess
One of the most memorable sections of the message focused on Harris’ public laugh.
Many critics have commented on it over the years. Cahn argued there was another layer.
“The Hindu writings… speak of the laughing goddess.”
He reminded viewers that Harris’ middle name is Devi.
“So now the person Kamala—the laughing woman—bears the manifestation of the laughing goddess.”
He also referenced an account from a man who was later exonerated after being prosecuted, recalling that Harris laughed following his conviction.
The symbolism reinforced what he believed was the larger pattern.
The Eighth Clue: An Appointed Day
Then came what Cahn described as one of the most striking discoveries.
He pointed to the Hindu celebration of Sharad Purnima, a festival dedicated to the goddess Kamala.
“On that day of the goddess Kamala… that same moment Kamala Harris was born.”
He explained that believers celebrate the goddess’ coming into the world during that observance.
“They believe on that day that the goddess Kamala comes into the world.”
“And that was the day that the person Kamala came into the world.”
The timing represented another clue in what he viewed as a prophetic mystery.
The Ninth Clue: The Image
Near the end of his message, Cahn unveiled what he called one of the clearest visual representations of his thesis.
“In ancient times, the avatar leader would be rendered in stone or paintings… that would merge the person’s face… with a body of a god or goddess.”
He then described artwork shared online by members of Harris’ family depicting her with imagery resembling a Hindu goddess.
“The image of the avatar appeared in America… not on stone, but on the internet.”
“It was her own family that created the image and posted it.”
The artwork represented far more than political art.
It completed the picture Cahn had been building from the beginning.
The Final Revelation
After walking through each clue, Cahn stepped back to explain why he believes it matters.
“America was founded… to be ruled by God, led by God, governed by God, one nation under God.”
Reflecting on the recent presidential election, he argued the nation stood at a pivotal crossroads.
“Had the election gone the other way, America would be ruled by one whose name is goddess.”
Then came one of the message’s most important revelations:
“One nation not under God, one nation under goddess.”
The Answer to the Mystery
For all of the ancient history, symbolism and prophetic parallels Cahn presented, he concluded with what he called the only real solution.
“The problem is ultimately spiritual.”
“And so, the answer is ultimately spiritual.”
Rather than ending with politics, he ended with revival.
“Pray as never before.”
“The only way there can be an answer for America is if America returns to God.”
He urged believers not merely to pray for national change but to pursue personal repentance.
“Choose to live in revival as never before.”
He challenged Christians to proclaim the Gospel without fear.
“Spread the gospel. That is the power of salvation.”
Cahn returned to the One whom he said stands above every principality and every spiritual power.
“The name of our Lord… Jesus is powerful, more powerful than any other name.”
“There is no God like our God.”
His closing appeal was simple and direct.
“Do not bow down to political correctness. Do not bow down to the majority. Do not bow down to the gods.”
Instead, Cahn called believers to remain faithful to “the one true living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob… Yeshua, Jesus, the King of all kings, the Lord of all lords, and the God above all gods.”
