Tonight and tomorrow mark 50 years since Jerusalem was restored to the Jewish People and the city reunified as the capital of the State of Israel. The mood is electric as masses of Israelis and visitors ascend to Jerusalem to celebrate. The main streets have been closed to private vehicles, and the festivities have begun.
The 50th anniversary of the Six-Day War in 1967 also celebrates the return of the ancient Jewish land of Judea and Samaria (Yehuda v’Shomron). Our 12-year-old daughter, Zohar, will join thousands of cyclists tomorrow morning as they ride and hike throughout the roads and trails of our Biblical homeland and modern communities.
The entire planet is focused on Jerusalem. And now is the time to strengthen our prayers, connection and commitment to the most important city in the world.
