Bible teacher Amir Tsarfati is warning Christians not to skip over three major prophetic events as we look toward Jesus Christ’s return and His Millennial Kingdom.
In a post on X, Tsarfati responded to two popular Christian pastors and podcasters who suggested Christ could soon return to earth to establish His thousand-year reign. Tsarfati argued that such a view overlooks the war of Gog, the rapture of the church and the seven-year Tribulation.
“But that skips over events Scripture tells us to take seriously,” Tsarfati wrote.
1. The War of Gog
Tsarfati first pointed to the future war described in Ezekiel 38–39. The passages describe a coalition of nations coming against Israel before God supernaturally intervenes.
“I believe Ezekiel’s war lies ahead, though Scripture does not tell us precisely when it will occur in relation to the rapture,” Tsarfati wrote.
While Christians continue to debate the war’s precise timing, Tsarfati maintained that it remains a significant prophetic event that cannot be ignored.
2. The Rapture of the Church
The second event is the rapture, described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51–53. Tsarfati holds to a pre-Tribulation understanding, believing Christ will gather His church before God’s judgment falls upon the earth.
“I also believe the church will be taken before the Tribulation, because we are not appointed to God’s wrath,” he wrote.
Tsarfati urged everyone who considers themselves part of the church to examine whether they are truly ready. Religious identity alone cannot prepare someone for Christ’s coming.
“Jews and Gentiles alike must place their faith in Messiah Yeshua,” he wrote. “A religious label cannot make anyone ready for His coming.”
He connected that warning to Christ’s parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25, in which only those who were prepared entered with the bridegroom.

3. The Seven-Year Tribulation
Tsarfati’s third prophetic event is the seven-year Tribulation outlined in Daniel 9:27 and Matthew 24:15–22.
“Before the Lord returns to earth, the world will pass through a time of great tribulation unlike any it has ever known,” he wrote. “If I could warn the world about what lies ahead, I would warn it of coming judgment.”
Tsarfati believes many Jews and Gentiles will come to faith during that period. However, he distinguishes those Tribulation believers from the church that was previously caught up to be with Christ.
His message is ultimately a call for us to remain watchful, serve Christ faithfully and warn others about what Scripture says is coming.
“Be ready,” Tsarfati concluded. “Live faithfully. Warn others while there is still time.”
