What if the very thing disrupting your comfortable life isn’t an attack meant to stop you, but God calling you out of what you can no longer afford to cling to?
Prophetic voice Alwyn Uys says he believes some believers are standing at exactly that kind of crossroads right now. Although he had not planned to release a message this week, Uys said he felt an urgency from the Holy Spirit that someone needed to hear one unmistakable warning: There is no Plan B when God calls you forward.
“I had this burden of people standing at a crossroads,” Uys said. “People standing at a decision or a point in their life where God is calling you into something bigger.”
Yet that calling may arrive at what seems like the worst possible moment.
Uys pointed out something Scripture makes surprisingly clear: When God called people, they were rarely sitting around waiting for their divine assignment. They were busy.
Elisha was plowing. Peter was fishing. Matthew was collecting taxes. Paul was actively persecuting Christians before his Damascus Road encounter radically redirected his life.
“There is no perfect timing to answer the call of God upon your life,” Uys said. “God, when He calls you, it will interrupt you. It will inconvenience you.”

That may be precisely where some believers get stuck.
We want the calling without the cost. We want the promised land while keeping Egypt conveniently stored in our GPS in case things get uncomfortable. We want God to open the next door, but we would really prefer He leave the old one cracked, just in case.
But biblical obedience doesn’t work that way.
Uys pointed to Elisha, who slaughtered his oxen and burned his plowing equipment after answering God’s call through Elijah. He wasn’t preserving his former career as an emergency exit.
“There are some things that will have to be burned in the process,” Uys said.
That doesn’t mean every Christian should impulsively quit a job, end a relationship or make a major life decision because circumstances become uncomfortable. It does mean that when God has clearly spoken, fear cannot masquerade as wisdom.
And sometimes obedience requires burning the imaginary bridge back to the version of life God already told you to leave.
“There is no plan B when following Jesus,” Uys said. “There is no plan B.”
Scripture repeatedly warns about the temptation to look backward. The Israelites wanted Egypt again when the wilderness became difficult. Lot’s wife looked back toward Sodom. Jesus Himself warned in Luke 17:32, “Remember Lot’s wife.”
The rearview mirror can become dangerously attractive when the road ahead requires faith.
Perhaps that is why Uys’ message carries such urgency. The question isn’t merely whether God has something new ahead. The question is whether believers trust Him enough to let go of what is behind them.
“Do not turn back,” Uys urged. “Embrace the inconvenience. Embrace the fear that you have right now and lean upon the Lord into this new thing that He wants to take you into.”
For those standing at a crossroads, the choice may be uncomfortable. It may demand sacrifice. It may even dismantle the safety net you hoped to keep.
But if God truly said go, Plan B was never the plan.
