According to country music star Tyler Hubbard, “The Chosen” has become more than another television show. It has become a way for his family to sit together, talk about Jesus and watch the stories of Scripture take root in his children.
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Hubbard said watching the hit series has become a family tradition that has “really opened up our kids’ eyes to the gospel and to Jesus and how he lived.”
Those nights together are also producing something every Christian parent hopes to see: Children remembering what they have learned about God.
“We talk through all these stories, we talk through all their questions, but then it doesn’t go in one ear and out the other,” Hubbard told Fox News. “It really kind of sticks.”

Sometimes, Hubbard said, the impact becomes evident years later when the family opens the Bible together. His children already recognize the stories and remember what happened.
“They’re kind of teaching us or teaching their friends at that point,” he said.
For Hubbard, that makes watching the series with his children particularly meaningful. It also demonstrates the power of putting biblical stories before children in a way that encourages them to go back to Scripture and learn more about Jesus.
That connection has now extended into Hubbard’s music.
The 39-year-old singer, who began his musical journey “leading worship in church,” was given the opportunity to write a faith-based song for “The Chosen.” The result was “All I Need Is You,” a song Hubbard described as having “some heart and some truth behind it.”
The song will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming sixth season of “The Chosen.”
For Hubbard and his family, however, the greatest impact is happening at home — where stories about Jesus are leading children back to the Bible and conversations about the gospel are becoming part of family life.
