Evangelist Kelly K is encouraging Christians to stop hiding behind masks and to step into the freedom that comes from being honest with God and others.
In a recent TikTok video, the evangelist challenged viewers to examine the exhausting burden of living a double life, arguing that pretending everything is fine only deepens the prison many people already feel trapped in.
“You know what’s exhausting?” Kelly K asked. “Pretending. You know what I mean? Like pretending you’re okay. Pretending you’ve got it all together. Pretending that the smile is real. Pretending that the secret isn’t slowly becoming your prison.”

He said many people stay silent because they fear the consequences of telling the truth. But instead of protecting them, he argued that hidden sin and secret struggles steal their peace and freedom.
“We hide because we’re afraid the truth will cost us everything,” he said. “But what if the lie is what’s costing you everything?”
Kelly K reminded viewers that God is not waiting for them to become flawless before they can begin walking in freedom. Instead, he said the first step is simple honesty.
“Freedom doesn’t start when you become perfect,” he said. “Freedom starts when you become honest.”
He encouraged believers to stop “running,” “performing” and “protecting the version of yourself that you wish everyone believed,” saying that transparency opens the door to genuine healing.
“The chains, they don’t fall off overnight, but the prison door opens,” he said. “Because secrets grow in the darkness, truth grows in the light. And the first person honesty sets free is you.”
Kelly K concluded with a powerful reminder that while stepping into the light may feel frightening, it is far better than spending a lifetime imprisoned by deception.
“Step into the light, my friends,” he said. “Yeah, you might lose the mask, but you know what? You just might find yourself. And that right there is where freedom begins.”
