Dr. Jordan Peterson is speaking out against antisemitism and its impact on society.

In a post on X discussing Judeo-Christian viewpoints, Peterson reminded viewers that the most-well known stories of the Old Testament are, inherently, Jewish.

“With regard to “Judeo Christian”:

The 10 Commandments are Jewish.

The great stories of the Old Testament are Jewish.

The Jews developed the idea of subsidiarity as the alternative to tyranny and slavery.

The Jews established the cultural preconditions for the rise of universal literacy.

The fate of Israel at the hands of the Islamists is the fate of the West.

This rising tide of anti-semitism sickens me. Those of you engaging in it for your oh-so-moral reasons—you’re despicable.

And remember, you proud “Christians” objecting in all your purity to the term:

Christ Himself was a Jew.

Peterson’s statement comes as part of his commentary on Wes Huff’s post, which also discussed the meaning of the term “Judeo-Christian.” Huff wrote:

So much noise online regarding the term “judeo-Christian.” Guys — in academia it’s simply the term that describes the combined corpus of Old and New Testaments. The Jewish heritage of the Hebrew scriptures combined with the New Testament. That’s it. I know you want there to be some conspiracy but there isnt, that’s the way we’re using it. It has nothing to do with geo-politics or a one world order.

One thing we can be sure of is this: The biblical story of redemption is inseparably connected to the people of Israel. The entirety of Scripture unfolds through a Jewish context, culminating in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who Himself was born into the Jewish people.

As antisemitism continues to rise across the globe, Peterson’s warning serves as more than a cultural observation—it is a call to reject hatred in every form and to anchor conversations in biblical truth rather than ideological outrage.
