A British investigation has drawn international attention after surveillance footage and social media videos documented a ritual involving a live goat inside a London office building.
According to reporting from London Centric, security footage recorded April 17 shows a man leading a goat into a rented office space in Hackney, East London. Another man entered carrying a folded cage. The animal did not appear on footage leaving the office.
Several hours later, surveillance video reportedly showed men exiting the office carrying containers and a large trash bag. One container appeared to contain what investigators described as horn-like objects.
Videos later posted to social media showed what appeared to be the same goat inside the office. One video showed the animal being restrained by its horns. Another showed the goat lying motionless on the floor while a man knelt nearby, chanting with his hands raised.
The investigation reported that the individual seen bringing the goat into the building has maintained social media accounts featuring ritual activity involving animal remains, including birds, goat heads and animal hearts. Additional videos reviewed by investigators showed ceremonies conducted at locations across London involving animal parts, symbolic objects and ritual displays.
The report identified the man as a practitioner of Quimbanda, an Afro-Brazilian religious tradition that emerged during the transatlantic slave trade. Animal sacrifice has historically been associated with some forms of Quimbanda practice.
No public findings from law enforcement or animal welfare officials have been released regarding the incident.
The footage from London places a spotlight on a reality our culture prefers to ignore. Spiritual darkness is real. Scripture teaches that there is a battle taking place beyond what we can see with our natural eyes.
The apostle Paul warned believers about spiritual deception, writing, “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14).
Paul also warned that the last days would be marked by increasing moral and spiritual decay. “Know this: In the last days, perilous times will come,” he wrote in 2 Timothy 3.
The pattern is not new. Romans 1:25 describes humanity’s rejection of God, saying people “exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator.”
The book of Revelation paints an even more sobering picture of the end times. Revelation 9:20-21 states that people “did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons and idols” and “did not repent of their murders or of their sorceries.”

What happened inside that London office remains the subject of public scrutiny. The broader spiritual lesson is clear. Practices rooted in occultism are not disappearing. They are moving into the open. Social media platforms, popular culture and public gatherings increasingly showcase beliefs and rituals that stand in direct opposition to the truth of God’s Word.
We should not be surprised. Scripture warned us these things would occur. As the return of Christ draws nearer, the line between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness becomes increasingly visible.
As disturbing as headlines like these have become, we cannot afford ignorance. Hosea 4:6 records the Lord’s warning: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
We must remain watchful. We must remain grounded in Scripture. We must actively resist the schemes of the enemy. And we must continue shining the light of Jesus Christ into an increasingly dark world.
