Something happened on The View that should not be brushed off as just another bad take.
Co-host Joy Behar looked straight into a national audience and said, “Jesus Himself did not run around saying, ‘I’m the Messiah.’”

Alyssa Farah Griffin: “Ehhhhh.”
Sara Haines: “That’s exactly what Jesus said, ‘I am the Messiah!’”
Joy Behar: “No, he did not! Jesus was more modest than that. Listen I knew Jesus,… pic.twitter.com/FNTIiczhRC
When her co-hosts pushed back, she didn’t correct herself. She doubled down.
“No, He did not. Jesus was more modest than that. Listen, I knew Jesus, okay?”
That moment matters more than people think.
Because this isn’t just a debate, it’s not just a misunderstanding. It’s a false claim about the identity of Jesus Christ being broadcast to millions of people, many of whom do not know what Scripture actually says.
And that is where the real problem begins.
Jesus did not hide who He was. He made it clear. He declared His identity. He confirmed it when asked directly. The Gospels are not vague on this. They are explicit.
So when someone goes on national television and says the opposite, it doesn’t just stay a comment. It becomes a seed.
That is how deception works. It doesn’t always come in the form of something outrageous. Sometimes it comes packaged as confidence. A casual statement. A quick dismissal of truth.

And for those who don’t know Scripture, that seed lands.
Some will hear it and move on. Others will remember it. And for some, it will quietly reshape what they think they know about Jesus.
That is the danger. That is Satan’s plan.
This is not about attacking an ignorant television host. This is about recognizing what is happening in the spiritual war we are all engaged in. A lie about Christ was spoken publicly, confidently and without correction.
And once something like that is said, the damage is already in motion.
This is why truth matters. This is why knowing Scripture matters. Because voices in culture will continue to redefine Jesus, reshape Him, soften Him, or strip Him of His authority altogether.
But the truth doesn’t change.
Jesus Christ is exactly who He said He is. The Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6).
