The unidentified 3I/ATLAS space object has been taking the world by storm as people try to figure out what it is. Harvard professor Avi Loeb, who has been the leading voice on the topic, says that 3I/ATLAS is about to take a monumental step in its journey to the Sun.
In an article he wrote for Medium, Loeb says that on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, 3I/ATLAS will “get to the closest distance of 203 million kilometers from the Sun, completing half of its journey through the Solar System.”

Loeb also wonders if this particular space object is more than a comet, but rather something produced by an intelligent being. As Charisma Media previously reported, Loeb noted that this object is emitting a metal compound produced only through industrial manufacturing. In his Medium article, Loeb also ponders whether or not “3I/ATLAS is a Trojan Horse with the external appearance of a natural comet but carrying a potential threat in its interior.”

Loeb’s warning come as the mainstream media has picked up the warning of Baba Vanga, a blind mystic from Bulgaria who claims she saw 2025 as the year that humans would come in contact with alien life. According to Primetimer, while this prediction has gained traction in discussions about 3I/ATLAS, there is no direct evidence to support Vanga’s prior statements.
As talk of 3I/ATLAS continues to spread, believers must stay anchored in truth. The Bible warns of false prophets, diviners and witches who claim secret knowledge apart from God. Scripture calls us to “test the spirits to see whether they are from God” (1 John 4:1). Not every revelation that captures the world’s attention is divine—some may serve as distractions, deceiving even the curious and well-intentioned.

Whether 3I/ATLAS proves to be a natural phenomenon or something more, Christians are called to walk in discernment, not fear. As the heavens declare the glory of God, we are reminded that all things are subject to His sovereign hand. In a world eager for sensational answers, may we place our trust in Christ above all else.
