The post-COVID church is experiencing a new awakening. It is true that crisis is an accelerator, and COVID-19 was that to the American church. The pandemic accelerated the decline in church attendance.
There is no greater time in history to go back to God’s original intention of what the local church is to resemble. The purpose of the ascension gifts listed in Ephesians 4 must be restored to see the church God designed.
In this episode of 5-Fold Unplugged, I share how the ascension gifts are just as relevant and needed today as they were 2,000 years ago.
These gifts are evident in our daily lives. The ascension gifts do the following:
— Perfect and mature God’s people.
— Equip ministry.
— Edify and build the body of Christ.
These gifts will function until:
— We all come to complete unity in the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God.
— We are all fully mature in the Lord.
I often say, “The focus should never be on a man or woman; rather, the gifts benefit the church body. The purpose is to prepare God’s people for works of service, so the body of Christ may be built up.”
This episode of 5-Fold Unplugged takes a look back into the Old Covenant, and I reveal what these gifts looked like in the Old Covenant. This portion of the episode is very insightful. {eoa}
