International worship leader, Chris Burns, joins Liz on a recent episode of Live Your Best Life with Liz Wright on the Charisma Podcast Network. Chris shares about hosting the presence of God and being a friend of the bridegroom, for that is that highest place. More than a title, a ministry or a name, being closely acquainted with King Jesus is the most satisfying life we could live.
Chris shares about a season where the Lord called him back to his first love, inviting him back into the secret place. Chris struggled initially to lay down everything he had planned and the stability of provision for his family, but he shut down everything he was doing in ministry and came back to the feet of Jesus. It was a powerful lesson for Him in prioritizing his connection and intimacy with the Lord. Chris says that “He has tied the knot of our destiny inside our relationship with Him.”
It is so easy to divert from the walk of intimacy and get distracted by other sources and activities. It’s not obligation or duty that draws us in; it is His kindness and His delight. It’s also not about quantity of time. God is more concerned about the quality of time that we spend with Him, for one glance from our eyes undoes His heart! Your love and devotion affects Him. Your love is fresh and unique to Him because there’s never been another you.
There’s a place in God’s heart that is specifically for you. Chris prophesied that religious chains would be broken and a fresh wind and ease of the grace of God released. He also prophesied that an eruption of revival would awaken in each one’s heart. Take little moments throughout the day to stop and tell Jesus you love Him.
