“To believe change is not possible means you are preaching a false gospel.”
The Freedom March hosted an event in October to celebrate many former LGBTQ testimonies. The Freedom March was started in 2018 to help give a platform for those who have left their LGBTQ identity to follow Jesus Christ.
Due to COVID-19, the FM was not able to get a permit to have their Atlanta Freedom March, so this family weekend gathering will be held at Newbridge Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
“We are so excited to gather at Newbridge Church for two days full of former homosexual/transgender testimonies to glorify what Jesus Christ has done in our lives,” says Freedom March Founder Jeffrey McCall. “The Lord is doing so many amazing miracles in the LGBTQ community. We are so excited to share new stories of individuals encounters with the Jesus. We also want all people to feel welcomed to come hear the stories. Even if you never dealt with the LGBTQ identity, we invite you to come celebrate the power of the Holy Spirit!”
The goal of this Freedom Family Weekend is to share more former LGBTQ stories, while keeping that family feeling of fellowship and connection. God is moving mightily in this community and is pouring out His grace and truth on so many.
“We are among a huge LGBTQ revival where God’s glory is pouring out all over the globe and people are being transformed and set free by Jesus,” says Freedom March board member Luis Ruiz. “To believe change is not possible means you are preaching a false gospel.”
This gathering will spotlight new speakers that have never previously shared at a Freedom March.
“I’m excited to share my story at Freedom Family Weekend because it allows me to give back to a group of brothers and sisters I now consider family,” says Freedom March speaker Michael Martinez. “They were there for me when I first left the LGBTQ culture behind and decided to follow Jesus Christ. I’m excited to meet all the new freedom family members who have decided to join us and follow Jesus recently.”
The Freedom March weekend will have worship music on both Friday evening and Saturday.
“I’m excited to go before the Lord together at this event and press into His presence,” Freedom March worship leader Edward Byrd says. “I believe after hearing the worship and testimonies we will leave empowered!”
Freedom March is looking forward to musical performances this year along with FM worship.
Freedom family weekend will start on Friday October 16 from 6-10 p.m. at Newbridge Church at 1446 Calvin Davis Circle in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Friday night will feature musical performances from several overcomers. After the musical performances, there will be several individuals sharing their stories. Friday’s events will end with prayer and intercession.
On Saturday from 1-5 p.m., there will be worship music and many more overcomers testimonies. You can RSVP at the Freedom March website: freedomtomarch.com. {eoa}
