“Divine reversal” are the words I keep hearing in the Spirit. The Lord is issuing divine reversals in this season. What is a divine reversal? It is when man had a say or opinion in a matter in your life, and you had to come into alignment with it even though you were not in agreement with it. The final judge, God, did not have a say in the answer, because man did not seek Him for the answer to your situation in order to bring your ministry into visibility, excel you in your current workplace or bless your finances.
God is the final judge. He needs to have the final say. Often, we have to give into men because we are forced to accept what they have decided about our promotion at work or our visibility to expand our territory in ministry.
The Lord is taking hold of situations and issuing divine reversals. However, we also have a part to play in those divine reversals. We have to be in prayer and seek Holy Spirit led strategies on how to get those divine reversals issued. How do you get involved? Seek and ask the Holy Spirit what you need to do to assist Him here on earth.
When we receive an earthly verdict we do not want to accept, and we feel it does not line up with the will of God, we need to go to our heavenly Father and ask Him what His verdict is. How do we get that earthly verdict reversed? Our Father is the author and finisher of our faith (Heb. 12:2). We must live by faith and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). Our trust must lie in our heavenly Father, who knows the plans He has for us (Jer. 29:11).
When an earthly verdict is issued as Christians, we must not settle for what man has issued but believe God for what He has established and put upon our heart. The challenge is when something doesn’t go our way, the promotion doesn’t manifest, the finances don’t increase, we get discouraged instead of pressing through to our breakthrough (Phil. 3:14). We must fight the good fight (1 Tim. 6:12) and not allow complacency, passivity or a victim mentality to set in. Prayer and communication with our Father is an integral part of receiving divine reversals.
Recently, I have seen my own divine reversals. The original issuances came a while back, and I was sitting at my computer one day when the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me. He told me to send one businessperson an email and to schedule a call with another. The Lord led me to speak my heart and what I believed to be His will in both situations. One hour later. both situations were issued divine reversals. This will allow me to advance the kingdom of God and release the messages He has called me to share through writing.
When we look at the Bible, we also see divine reversals:
- God asked Abraham to slaughter His son Isaac, and then He provided the sacrifice.
- We were destined for hell, and then God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world so we could have a divine reversal and inherit the kingdom of God.
- Lazarus was given a divine reversal when Jesus raised him from the dead.
Jesus issued many divine reversals in the Bible when we look at all the health afflictions that took place. Divine reversals made the lame walk again, blind eyes see and the lepers cleansed (Matt. 11:5).
What about the divine reversal the Gadarene man received when He was delivered from a legion of demons? This man was crazy, naked, cutting himself and tormented, and after he was delivered, he was sitting clothed and in his right mind (Mark 5:1-20).
Perhaps your divine reversal needs to manifest through healing and deliverance. Get up! Rise up! Speak to your body and command it to come into alignment with the word of God that says, “By His stripes, I am healed” (Isa. 53:5c). Kick complacency out and don’t allow the victim mentality to get the best of you. Rise up and fight and take back what the enemy has stolen so you can receive your divine reversal.
What about the emotional trauma that has plagued you or the demons that have traumatized and infiltrated your soul? Christ came to set the captives free (John 8:36). This is a season of deliverance. Generally, every year I see God manifest great personal deliverance in people in December. As we press through, enter into His presence, His glory descends upon us and deliverance manifests. After all, Jesus came to set at liberty those who are oppressed (Luke 4:18).
When we cry out to Jesus and desire to receive everything He purchased to give us at the cross demons leave and healing manifests. Those are issuances of divine reversals. However, we cannot sit idly by and just supernaturally expect God to divinely reverse our situation. I believe there are times He can and does reverse our situation supernaturally with us doing nothing, but I also know when we co-labor with the Holy Spirit through prayer, fasting and seeking Him for instruction He will give us the vision and instructions to have our situations reversed.
What do you need a divine reversal for in this season? The Lord has repeatedly said to me in this season to speak out and declare out for divine reversals. When we speak and know our authority and identity in the Kingdom our words go forth in power and the spiritual realm has to react and line up with the natural realm to produce the will and word of God for our life.
