Pastor Greg Laurie says Israel plays a significant role in God’s end-times plan. For example, when Israel became a nation once again in 1948, Laurie says, the countdown began for Jesus’ return.
Laurie points out several more specific biblical end-times prophecies about Israel that God has already fulfilled. One we are still waiting to see, though, is Ezekiel 38’s prophecy about Magog, a nation from the north that will attack Israel.
Many end-times scholars believe Magog is modern-day Russia. Already, Laurie points out, Russia has made deals with several anti-Israel countries.
