The Women of Faith worship team offers 10 songs from some of today’s top songwriters, and includes the well-known “Amazed,” “Indescribable” and “Healer.” The tight harmonies of the group will immediately draw listeners in and compel them to take part.
Opening the album and setting a reverent tone is “God of This City,” which declares that Jesus is King and Lord over our cities, people and nation. “I Am Free” is a declaration of faith, that God causes the blind to see, the mute to sing, the dead to rise. He brings total freedom.
The pace slows a bit for “Lead Me to the Cross,” written by Brooke Fraser. This ballad will lead listeners to surrender: “Lead me to the cross / Where Your love poured out / Bring me to my knees / Lord, I lay me down / Rid me of myself / I belong to You.”
