My heart is for the body of Christ. I dearly love my brothers and sisters. Whether I’m attending a conference, teaching, or praying for people in hours-long altar calls, my desire is for people to be delivered and made free in Christ. I want them to see God’s best for them.
That’s why I share the truth about the satanic bondages that have sucker punched and entrapped so many believers. Too many people spend years trying to climb back into God’s perfect will, and some never do. They just fall into the world’s ways and never get out.
Don’t let that be your story.
Here are 10 entrapments that lead to satanic bondage:
Rejecting and Living Against God’s Purpose for Your Life
First things first: God is good. He has established parameters of spiritual living to protect us from the enemy. Just as He used His Word to create the heavens and the earth (Gen. 1), He has created supernatural boundaries in the spiritual realm for us. We might not see them, but they are there. His Word and His will are established over our lives, our purpose and our destinies.
Notice that it is His will, not ours. Never forget that. All protection and provision come from the word in God’s mouth. When we live outside God’s will, we live in satanic and demonic atmospheres. That is exactly what the devil wants, and it is his number one strategy against the church. The moment we step out of the spiritual boundaries God created, we start living in rebellion against Him and His Word.
Inheriting Diabolical Curses
The Bible clearly warns us in Exodus 20:5, “You shall not worship them nor serve them {meaning other gods}; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely mine], visiting (avenging) the iniquity (sin, guilt) of the fathers on the children [that is, calling the children to account for the sins of their fathers], to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me” (emphasis added).
Did you catch that? God visits the iniquities of previous generations on their children—not just their own children but their children’s children, three and four generations down the line. Many times we believers don’t realize that our children may be under generational curses inherited from our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and so on. These curses can come from either side of the bloodline and family tree, all the way back to Adam and Eve. If we don’t deal with the spiritual roots of these issues, they will repeat themselves through later generations and restart the cycle
Experiencing Emotional and Physical Trauma
This door is one the devil loves and knows well. When I was operating at the highest levels of the demonic kingdom, I would study the people I wanted to attack through witchcraft. That meant understanding the blueprints of their lives and learning which familiar spirits were already at work. Then I would exploit any doors of trauma (from violence, accidents, abandonment, and so on) and any emotional hindrance. My goal was to keep the doors open and add new ones so the people could never get free in those areas. What I’m telling you comes straight from the devil’s playbook. Those doors need to be shut up and shut down, once and for all.
Trauma is a dangerous tool that demons and the devil use. Eventually the trauma demon left me, and the effects of the attack disappeared. My point is that the trauma spirit can hit you at any time, and you can deal with it only through Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. There is no other way.

Surrendering to Ungodly Coverings
Today, the body of Christ is under some very serious deceptions—I believe the greatest deceptions ever. Everybody is looking for a covering. Everyone wants to be ordained. Everybody seems to be seeking mentoring and discipleship. Many of God’s people who are under demonic bondage are suffering because they have submitted to ungodly coverings from
leaders who are operating in a rebellious spirit.
I am sorry to say that we often lack discernment and are not hearing from the Lord. So we submit, surrender, and devote ourselves to satanic coverings from people who are outside God’s will for us. Think about any friend, pastor, or teacher who is influencing your walk or life. You might already know that God did not choose to align you with this person. Once you touch and agree on something that God has not ordained for you, the devil has a stronghold—an opportunity to destroy what God is trying to build in your life. This happens in the church. Obeying and serving unrighteous coverings will bring you not a blessing but only a curse.
Embracing Worldliness
Second Corinthians 4:3–4 says, “Even if our gospel is [in some sense] hidden [behind a veil], it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing; among them the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
Satan is called “the god of this world” (2 Cor. 4:4). That means he owns, controls, and has great influence over humanity, social media, and television (including fake news, politics, corrupt music, entertainment, movies, and so on). It boggles my mind to see believers staring at the one-eyed monster called television and watching shows that blaspheme God’s name. They have become numb to the offense. It happens to all of us. But if someone were to curse our mothers, we’d be up in arms. What a shame that we lack spiritual discernment and are not grieved enough to turn off the TV or change the channel. {eoa}
