In a powerful episode of “Prophetic Spiritual Warfare” with Kathy DeGraw, Kathryn Krick shared life-changing insights from her book, “Unlock Your Deliverance.” With a passion for seeing people set free from spiritual oppression, Krick equips believers to walk in their God-given authority and experience lasting freedom.
Krick emphasized that one of the greatest obstacles to maintaining deliverance is falling prey to the enemy’s lies. “When a person is set free, the devil becomes angry,” she explained. “He will try to bring back symptoms of oppression, but those are often just lies. The truth will set you free, and you must resist the devil and submit to God, and he must flee.” She shared testimony after testimony of people who experienced temporary attacks after being delivered but were able to maintain their freedom by actively declaring it and standing firm in faith.

Krick and DeGraw also stressed that deliverance is not just a one-time event but an ongoing process requiring vigilance. The initial weeks following deliverance can be particularly challenging, as believers may feel tempted to revert to old habits or believe they are oppressed again. “Speak out, take authority and refuse to give the enemy access to your life,” says DeGraw.
Another key principle Krick highlighted is the importance of surrender. Deliverance is best maintained when a believer fully surrenders to Jesus, closes open doors to the enemy and remains planted in a church where God’s power is active. Valuing your freedom is crucial, she added, noting that one must treat deliverance like a precious possession, protecting it through consistent prayer, Scripture and obedience.
Finally, Krick linked deliverance with physical and emotional healing. Many believers struggle with illness, depression or generational curses that cannot be fully addressed without casting out demonic influences. “Healing and deliverance are one,” she said. “If there’s a spirit behind an illness, you need to take authority over it. Sometimes, taking two minutes to command the spirit to leave is enough to release God’s healing.”
