Kelly K has a way of taking spiritual truths and making them hit right where we live. In a recent video, he pulls out a simple prop—a door—and uses it to unpack one of the most important choices we face daily: who we’re letting into our lives.
“Sin is crouching at the door eager to control you,” he says, quoting Genesis 6:2, “but you must subdue it and make it your master.” The door, Kelly explains, only opens one way at a time. “When you open the door to allow Jesus to work in and through your life, you shut the door on the devil.” But it’s also true the other way around.

Kelly challenges us to ask ourselves throughout the day—who have I opened the door to?
“With every word I speak, every action I make… I’m showing the world who I’ve opened the door to.”
And maybe the most encouraging part? “The devil wants in your life. God wants in your life. That means you’re pretty awesome.”
