There is a coming reality that many overlook. Jesus Christ will physically reign from Jerusalem. The nations will see Him. They will experience righteousness at a level the world has never known.

And still, it will not be enough for everyone.

“The Bible also tells us that at the end of the thousand years, Jesus himself will physically sit on his throne of David and he will reign from Jerusalem,” Amir Tsarfati of Behold Israel said in a recent teaching.

This is a literal kingdom. Scripture makes it clear that the government of the earth will rest on the shoulders of Christ, and the center of that rule will be Jerusalem.

A World Under Righteous Rule

During this time, every nation will be required to come before the King.

“Every nation will have to come to Jerusalem every year to celebrate the feast of tabernacles,” Tsarfati said, pointing to Zechariah 14.

This will not be optional. Nations that refuse will face real consequences.

“The nation that will not be there will not be having the blessing from God. God will not pour rain upon that nation,” he said.

For the first time in human history, the world will function under true justice. Righteousness will flow from Jerusalem across the earth. Creation itself will reflect a restoration that echoes Eden.

“The world will be as close as possible to what it was before the curse of the sin came,” Tsarfati said.

Believers will not experience this kingdom as ordinary people. They will be transformed.

“All of us will have our glorified bodies. We will reign and judge with him,” he said.

This is the promise. A world under Christ. A people transformed. A system free from corruption.

And yet, something shocking happens next.

The Final Rebellion

After one thousand years of perfect leadership, Satan is released.

“Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison,” Tsarfati said, quoting Revelation 20.

What follows is staggering.

“He will go out to deceive the nations… to gather them together to battle,” he said.

Think about what this means. A world that has seen Jesus with their own eyes. A world that has lived under His justice. A world that has experienced peace and order unlike anything in history.

And still, many will choose rebellion.

“The world that witnessed this wonderful righteousness coming out of Jerusalem is going to come and turn against it,” Tsarfati said.

This is not a failure of evidence. This is a revelation of the human heart.

Who Really Rules the World

In the middle of global instability and constant speculation about geopolitical power, one truth stands firm. God is in control.

“Who controls the Middle East? God controls the Middle East,” Tsarfati said. “It’s not Russia and it’s not China and it’s not America and it’s not Iran and it’s certainly not Saudi Arabia.”

The nations may posture. Leaders may strategize. Alliances may shift. But Psalm 2 already revealed the outcome.

“Why do the nations rage and the people plot a vain thing?” he said. “The kings of the earth set themselves… against the Lord and against his anointed.”

This is the real battle line. Not politics. Not territory. Not power.

It is humanity’s refusal to submit to God.

“We don’t want to live under God’s rules… we want to do whatever we want to do. We are gods. We want to replace God,” Tsarfati said.

That spirit does not disappear even in a perfect kingdom. It is exposed.

And in the end, it is judged.

The coming reign of Christ will not just restore the earth. It will reveal the truth about every human heart.
