Hope is a precious commodity in a time such as ours. Hopelessness is not a by-product of the kingdom of God. Scripture tells us of a time when a whole nation of people, Israel, whose hope had been dried up after experiencing dislocation from all that was familiar as well as oppression, humiliation and defeat.
Everything had changed; everything had been shaken; everything seemed beyond restoration. In that place of dryness, deadness and cataclysmic change, God asked Ezekiel, “Can these bones live?” And the answer was “Yes, and more!” (Ezek. 37:3).
How many of us, right now, feel like our strength is dried up and our hope is cut off? How many around us feel we have nothing left — no more breath to get through the days we are living in? The message of Ezekiel is a now word. Listen as Spirit-filled, rabbinical scholar Rabbi Eric Walker sheds prophetic light on the Ezekiel passage about the dry bones on the Move Forward with Dr. Kim Maas podcast.
Receive a fresh wind and fresh fire as Rabbi Eric and Dr. Kim Maas discuss the re-inspiration, the revival, of the dry bones. Receive a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation of your hope! Hope is an integral part of faith. “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1, ESV).
When we lose our hope, we lose faith. We stop believing. We stop seeing the future through the eyes of Jesus. In our day, we may have yet to see what we are hoping for; yet God is the God of covenant. What He has promised, He will do. Nothing will stop Him. He is the God of hope, and the God who breathes on the slain and makes them to stand. Grab hold of hope and get a fresh breath by joining in on the dry bones conversation!

As we grab hold of hope and join the Lord in this great move, there are four important questions we can ask to help us prepare and move forward. Dr. Kim Maas asks those question and gives us opportunity to work through them in her book and e-course, The Four Questions. {eoa}
