So many believers live their lives today with no active faith. They are completely unaware of the power God has given us to overcome any difficulty or battle we may face. So many people groan and worry over various situations, surrendered to doubt and despair. But why? God has given us the power and authority to have victory in every area of our lives. He has given us a promise to deliver us not just from earthly attacks but also from death itself. Where does this power come from? It comes from the name of Jesus Christ.
The Bible provides wisdom and instruction to help us understand how to fully walk in the power of Jesus. Do we know what those instructions are? Do we ask for Godly wisdom to fully understand what’s available to us? Each of us should possess a godly confidence to call out to God in our circumstances. Most people do not. We have a storehouse of knowledge and powerful godly tools at our disposal, but we often accept defeat when confronted with a spiritual battle.
Our faith walk is also made up of more than just knowing about the power of God in us. It requires that we exercise obedience to the Holy Spirit and have the Word stored up in our heart. This is how we recognize the workings of the enemy. We can make the mistake of unwittingly giving the devil access to our lives, allowing unnecessary chaos and destruction, if we are not feeding ourselves with biblical truth. Every single professing Christian must learn the keys to fully embracing and exercising the power and authority we have in the name of Jesus.
