Bill Wiese: The Dangers of Universalism

People hold many opinions about hell, and some of those opinions are completely false.

One such opinion is the teaching called universalism: Someone who believes all men are saved and will go to heaven eventually is called a universalist.

Universalists believe a person may go to hell for a period of time, but will eventually leave hell and enter heaven no matter their beliefs. A universalist argues against eternal punishment, stating it can’t exist because God is love. They say He would never allow such suffering.

They fail to realize that God is also a God of justice and judgment. Jesus died for all men, so salvation is available to all. Salvation is available because He paid for our sins on the cross. This does not mean that salvation has been obtained by all.

Watch this video from Bill Wiese for more on this teaching.
