Are You Claiming Your Kingdom Authority?

You should strive to use your kingdom authority over all your trials and challenges. You should begin to speak life over your situation and your family.

Some are magnifying so much of what your family has been through or where you came from. They focus on generational concerns because someone in your family is into witchcraft or New Age beliefs. You should know that one person who is in the light of the gospel in the family can undo thousands of wicked generations.

I want you to begin to take your authority over your life. Over every generational bondage. Over what the Lord is leading you to break. Colossians 1:12 (MEV) says, “Giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled us to be partakers in the inheritance of the saints in light.” We are now qualified. It has nothing to do with how much we know but whom we know, and the Scripture says, “He has delivered [past tense] us from the power of darkness,” and conveyed us or translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love (see Col. 1:13).

Not only has He delivered you from the darkness, but now He has delivered you into the deliverer. You have now switched places. You were once in darkness, but now you are in the light of the Lord. Now you are in the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood. The forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1 goes on to say, “He is the image of the invisible God and the firstborn of every creature. For by Him all things were created” (Col. 1:15-16a). This refers to everything that was made and things that are on the earth, visible, invisible whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. The passage continues, “All things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church” (Col. 1:16b-18a).

Who is the church? The body of Christ. Who is the beginning? “The firstborn of the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence” (Col. 1:18b). So I want all of you to take your kingdom authority. Many tend to cry out, “I need this” or “I need that.” You must take your kingdom authority. That is why you are feeling stuck in the same hamster wheel, repeating old issues. You need your authority. You need to be renewed in the spirit of your mind and see the rights that have already been given to you. You need to see the contract that was dipped in blood: the blood of Christ.

You are made one with Jesus Christ, who is the head. How do we take our authority? By coming into Him. By exhaling His name and praying out from that place of victory. So instead of seeing it as, “Oh, I am struggling,” see it instead as “I take authority over the struggle right now” and “I release the authority of heaven.”

Our God is so much bigger than what we are feeling and going through at this moment.
