Katie Souza is giving a sobering word for those in leadership, ministry or influence: “If anybody cuts around you, goes around you and uses your contacts and your people so that they can personally profit and cut you out while they do it, they’re going down.”
This word connects to the murderous spirit of Cain. Souza pointed out, “Jesus said if we say anything bad about our brother and sister, we’re actually murdering them. We’re actually spilling their blood. That’s what Cain did to Abel.” Today, people are leaving relationships, churches or ministries and spreading slander in order to benefit themselves, when we are called to bring healing, salvation and deliverance.

Souza then described a vision she had of Leviathan. “The twisting fling serpent who takes stories of people having difficulties or encounters with each other and then takes the facts of those stories and twists them… in order to hurt people’s reputations and integrity.” Souza points out that this spirit is actively dividing the church: some believe the lies, while others know the truth, leading churches to fall.
Souza notes how the Bible confirms the consequences of breaking spiritual boundaries. Ecclesiastes 10:8-9 says: “He who digs a pit for others will fall into it… Whoever breaks through a fence or stone wall, a serpent will bite him. Whoever removes landmark stones or sets out new ones with similar intent will be hurt with them.” Deuteronomy 27:17 adds, “Cursed is anyone who moves their neighbor’s boundary stone.” And Hosea 5:10 warns, “I will pour out My fury upon them like water on those who moved boundary stones.”

God’s instruction is clear: “You cannot slander people and you cannot go around them and cut in line… Any profit gotten by ill means is ill-gotten gain,” Souza says. Honor those who open doors for you. Repent where necessary. Seal the boundaries with the blood of Jesus. Trust God to protect your circle of influence. Those who attempt to exploit others will fall into the pit they dig, but those who walk in integrity will be blessed, protected and prosper in eternal ways.
