I love capturing God’s supernatural power through people who yield to Him and live the supernatural life daily.
I recently had the honor of having a conversation with Rhoda Faye Diehl, who shared how she was born and raised in the church. But when she was 22 years old she was divorced and pregnant with her first child. She drifted away for a season from her Christian upbringing.
As she progressed further into darkness, she found herself divorced again at 25 years of age with a second child, on prescription medicine for anxiety and depression. She said, “Nothing would help. But the only one that helped me and rescued me was Jesus Christ.”
She’d had enough of her sinful life and was remembering everything she was taught in Christian church and school. She said, “Sometimes God has to break us in order to make us.”
Rhoda continued saying, “I began a whole new life with the Lord, who began to put me back together the right way.” She started growing in her relationship with Jesus and God started activating the spiritual gift of prophecy and healing through her life.
God gave Rhoda a supernatural revelation for her new book, The Jericho Fast. She said, “God wants us to go from glory to glory. And in order to take our relationship to the next level we need to intercede. We need to ask for more of God, more of the Lord and more of the Holy Spirit. We need to start asking and make that our petition to God. Asking for more.”
I asked Rhoda, “How and why did God lead you to have the seven day Jericho march be the basis of your book?” She responded saying, “The Lord took me to Jericho spiritually. I had a true encounter with the Lord.”
Heaven opened on the podcast as she said, “He took me there. I began to walk with Him, and He was showing me the ground and the bricks. He began to show me the bricks. As I was walking He said, ‘Daughter, people have forgotten about what I can do. They have forgotten about their Jericho. They have forgotten about the Jericho march, the Jericho march and the Jericho fast. This is going to be a relevant message for today. People need to hear this message today.”
Rhoda said, “We need to be reminded that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. And that the enemy is building walls around people. God started downloading all this spiritual information to write it in a book. The Lord took me back to that time and that place to walk around the grounds and observe what Joshua and the Israelites had to face.”
