More than a decade after prophetic voice Kim Clement suffered the stroke that would change the final chapter of his life, his daughter, Donné Clement Petruska, has uncovered something striking in one of his journals.
And it came down to two final words: “blood moons.”
During a recent Codebreakers broadcast, Donné revealed that she had been going through some of her father’s journals, which she keeps in a trunk alongside other personal belongings. Clement, known worldwide for his prophetic ministry, was an avid journaler, regularly documenting his thoughts and spiritual journey.
But when Donné opened his journal from 2015, she stumbled across an entry of extraordinary personal significance.
It was dated Sept. 7—the day her father suffered his stroke.
Clement began a fast on Sept. 1 and numbered the days as he went. Sept. 7 marked day seven. In the entry, he wrote candidly about struggling with the fast after eating later than he meant to, but recommitted to what he called the “freedom fast.”
Then came the words that stopped Donné in her tracks.
“The last thing he put in there was ‘blood moons’,” she said, “the last thing he ever wrote in a journal.”

For Donné, the discovery carried even greater weight because of its timing.
Just days earlier, she and her daughter had sat outside together and watched a blood moon eclipse. Then, while examining her father’s journal, she discovered that “Blood Moons” appeared to be the final notation he made before the stroke.
The journal entry doesn’t explain precisely what Clement meant by the words. Yet the discovery comes during an emotionally significant anniversary for the Clement family.
Donné noted that Sept. 5 marked the anniversary of Clement’s final live broadcast, while Sept. 7 marked the anniversary of his stroke. She described the dates’ convergence as particularly poignant as she reflected on the events surrounding her father’s final season of ministry.
For a prophetic ministry built around watching, praying and discerning the times, the mystery remains impossible to ignore.
Why were “blood moons” the final words Clement placed in his journal?
The entry doesn’t give the answer.
But more than a decade later, those two words are being read again.
