With the 2026 midterm elections just days away, a 21-year-old prophecy by Kim Clement about October 31 and November is reigniting questions about America’s political future.
On Oct. 21, 2005, Clement delivered a prophetic word in Frederick, Maryland, warning of corruption, betrayal and dramatic changes within America’s leadership. Now, as the nation prepares for a consequential election that could reshape Washington’s balance of power, his words are worth revisiting.
“This nation has been shaken and purged. This nation has been cleansed,” Clement declared.
But what he said next was even more startling.
“Watch, two senators will die. For I will not tolerate the corruption and this thing that is being thought about against my president.”
Clement continued with a warning about betrayal at the highest levels of government.
“Within the leadership of this nation, there is a corruption. And there is a Judas and a betrayal spirit, and it shall not last.”
Could the political turmoil surrounding this election be connected to something Clement saw more than two decades ago? That remains to be seen.
A Prophecy About America’s Energy Future
But Clement’s prophetic message did not stop with Washington.
He also spoke of a dramatic transformation in America’s relationship with the Middle East, particularly concerning energy independence.
“Your oil is not necessary for us anymore,” Clement declared, describing what America would one day tell Middle Eastern nations.
He went on to speak of a new energy source emerging for the American people.
Those words are particularly interesting amid the ongoing tensions involving Iran, Israel and the broader Middle East, where conflict has raised concerns about oil supplies and global energy security. And now, another major development has emerged.
According to an Oct. 28 White House announcement, President Donald Trump announced the arrival of the first 1 million barrels of Venezuelan oil in Texas under a historic energy agreement. The administration says the shipment was secured at no cost to American taxpayers and will be refined in Texas, with the broader agreement providing U.S. access to substantial Venezuelan oil reserves.
Could developments like these be part of a larger transformation in America’s energy future? We will have to wait and see.
From Fear and Mourning to Resurrection and Hope
Yet perhaps the most impactful part of Clement’s prophecy was not his warning about corruption or political betrayal. It was the promise of what he believed God would do after the shaking.
Clement spoke of an unusual Halloween occurrence that would initially bring fear to the nation. But he declared that fear would not have the final word.
“Then suddenly the mourning shall be turned into dancing. Fear and trembling shall be turned into shouts of praise and admonition. The Lord has brought this to pass. No one can stop it.”

What followed was an extraordinary declaration about resurrection and restoration.
“Beginning in the month of November, as I have predicted for a long, long time, God says, I shall bring forth a resurrection from the dead.”
Clement made clear that he was not simply speaking of physical resurrection, but of things that people had written off as permanently lost.
“I’m talking about resurrecting the things that have been null and void, dead and gone, that they have said shall never happen again.”
He continued with a prophetic declaration of supernatural multiplication.
“When the resurrection comes, there shall be a double anointing, double vision, double miracles, double healings, double double double, says the Lord, a double double trouble against the powers of hell.”
Clement also spoke of God multiplying faith, expanding spiritual vision and releasing a spirit of multiplication across the nation.
At a time when Americans are facing political division, international uncertainty and questions about the nation’s future, Clement’s words offer a striking reminder of the biblical theme of restoration: What appears finished to man is not necessarily beyond the power of God.
