Lately there’s been a rise of tech outages. Could these disruptions potentially be a sign of the things still to come?
According to the Daily Mail, thousands of people found themselves unable to use all kinds of online services with Microsoft and Azure crashing. This eerily comes less than two weeks after Amazon also experienced widespread blackouts that “brought ‘half the internet’ to a standstill,” as the report noted. These ghastly outages are now raising a concern for what could happen in the future.

As the Mail discussed, both Amazon and Microsoft make up two of the globe’s biggest carriers for “cloud computing.” This means that most of the web requires these companies in order to power our sites, social media and apps. What’s just as shocking is that Microsoft and Amazon alone “host over 60% of the world’s cloud services,” as the outlet stated. AI consultant Colette Mason from Clever Clogs AI said that, “We’re seeing what ‘putting all your eggs in one basket’ looks like on a global scale.”

When we think about the end times, could all of this have a meaning behind it that is prophetic of what we will see in a darkening world?
These unprecedented tech outages serve as a stark reminder that the systems we depend on so heavily are fragile, and that the world can change in an instant. As global infrastructure falters, it is easy to wonder if these disruptions are more than mere coincidence—could they be a foreshadowing of the turmoil described in Scripture for the last days? Just as the Bible warns of a world growing darker with a rising Beast System that will affect even our buying and selling of items, these massive blackouts highlight how reliant humanity has become on fleeting, earthly structures rather than the eternal.
