In-N-Out President Lynsi Snyder posted on social media a heartfelt message following the shooting at an Idaho In-N-Out location where 3 people died.
In the post, Snyder addressed the situation, writing:
To my dear IN-N-OUT Family, Customers, and Friends and Family to both,
My heart is broken, my chest is heavy, my eyes burn from the tears I’ve shed.
We lost one of our beautiful Associates tonight. She was taking care of our most important asset – our Customers, and her life was taken by a disgusting human who doesn’t value the lives of others or his own. He shot both on our property and off, and ended his life shortly after he took the precious lives of our Associate and Customers, innocent people who never saw it coming.
IN-N-OUT will be mourning with the families and praying for them as they tread through a very painful season. I am no stranger to loss, but this is so incredibly tough, and my heart also goes out to all of the Associates and Customers who were there during this traumatic event.
I love you all, and I ask you to turn to God, not in anger, but seeking comfort and strength for those who are hurting.
We will stand together, and we will do everything we can to learn from this situation.

Snyder’s response ultimately pointed grieving hearts toward the only source of lasting hope. Rather than responding with bitterness or vengeance, she urged people to seek God for the comfort and strength He alone can provide in the midst of unimaginable tragedy.

As believers, this is a moment to do more than simply read another heartbreaking headline. It is a moment to pray. Pray for the family of the In-N-Out associate whose life was cut short while faithfully serving customers, as well as for the families of the other victims who are now navigating the painful reality of sudden loss. Pray that the peace of Christ, “which surpasses all understanding” (Phil. 4:7), would guard their hearts and minds in the difficult days ahead.
As Snyder encouraged, may this tragedy drive people not toward anger or hopelessness but toward the Lord. In seasons when answers are difficult to find, believers have the privilege of carrying every burden to God in prayer, trusting that He is near to the brokenhearted and faithful to sustain those who call upon His name.
