In a social media post, president Donald Trump announced that the United States completed a “successful attack” on nuclear sites in Iran.
We have completed our very successful attack on three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The president further announced that he will be speaking to the nation at 10 p.m. EST tonight, June 16, 2025 about this event.

This strike against Iran comes just days after Trump stated that he would make his decision about attacking Iranian nuclear facilities “within the next two weeks.”
The president also posted an image from Open Source Intel that read “Fordow is gone. ”
