This morning (Saturday), in a joint operation of the IDF, ISA (Shin Bet) and Israel Police (Yamam) in Nuseirat, four Israeli hostages were rescued.

Noa Argamani (25), Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27) and Shlomi Ziv (40), were kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist organization from the ‘Nova’ music festival on October 7th.

The hostages were rescued by the IDF, ISA and “Yamam” forces from two separate locations in the heart of Nuseirat in a complex, special, daytime operation.

The hostages are in good medical condition and have been transferred to the “Sheba” Tel-HaShomer Medical Center for further medical examinations.

The fighting forces that rescued the abductees consisted of Shin Bet and IDF fighters, who operated this morning in broad daylight in what the IDF called “a daring operation.” The forces raided two buildings at the same time – a complicated operation in the heart of the Gaza Strip.

The operation was planned for many weeks. Shin Bet intelligence allowed the IDF to know the condition of the abductees and their exact location. After confirming that conditions would make the operation possible, the order approving the operation was given this morning.

According to reports, the hostages were guarded by a large force of terrorists. Palestinian sources report heavy casualties from cover fire and attacks meant to serve as a diversion to the special forces operating to rescue the hostages.

The Israel Police spokeswoman said that one Israeli soldier was seriously wounded in the attack and was taken for life-saving treatment to the hospital. The soldier’s family has been notified.

The IDF said, “The security forces will continue to make every effort to bring all the hostages home.”

Following the safe return of the hostages to Israel, President Isaac Herzog called the hostages with tears of happiness to greet them and welcome them home.

Speaking to Noa Argamani, Herzog said, “Noa, I am so excited to hear your voice, it just brings tears to my eyes. I hug you in the name of all the people of Israel.”
