“We begin to get this different picture of who the disciples were and what their story is,” Robbins says. “It changes the way that we read the Bible.”
Far too often, we envision the disciples as spiritual warriors who had everything figured out. Yet, “The Chosen” serves as a powerful reminder that Jesus called ordinary, broken people—tax collectors, zealots and outcasts—proving that God’s grace is greater than our past.
