People across the U.S. and abroad are preparing to journey to the National Mall in our nation’s capital for the “A Million Women” solemn assembly on Saturday, Oct. 12.
For those unable to unite in person, the prayer, fasting and repentance gathering will be livestreamed through amillionwomen.org and other social media platforms. Individuals and ministries are forming watch parties in homes and churches nationwide and globally.

Lou Engle, president of Lou Engle Ministries, tells us, When there is no hope for a nation, when there is no remedy, God still has a holy prescription. Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate the assembly and call the fast! America is in a Joel 2 crisis.”
Engle, a visionary and co-organizer of the assembly, and other leaders ask that people come in person, if at all possible, and fast as they are able.
“There are times when the church must unite and gather, for breakthroughs where the Lord goes before us,” Engle explains. “The time is so desperate that everyone must come, without respect to gender, race and denomination.”
“What a wonderful assignment to usher in the presence of God into the nation’s capital, appeal to the Lord for mercy on our nation, and share hope for our future,” Kris Kubal, chief program officer of Intercessors for America, says.
