In a powerful and interview that just dropped from Logan Paul’s Impaulsive Podcast, the internet sensation sat down with none other than Lakewood Church’s senior pastor, Joel Osteen.

“Ladies and gentlemen, it’s Joel Osteen,” Paul announced.

In another clip from the podcast trailer, Paul asks Osteen a very vital question for our day and age: “Why do you think Gen Z is so interested in Christianity?”

“They’re authentic, and they want to find God for themselves,” Osteen replies.

Speaking on topics ranging from megachurches, the viral Druski church skit, Osteen’s wealth, what happens after death, and whether there will be a hierarchy of believers in heaven, no stone is left unturned, including Osteen’s previous connection to Kanye West.

“What I see now is not the Ye that I knew,” Osteen says of West. “I pray for him.”

At a time when a generation is searching for truth beyond filters and fame, this conversation is more than just another viral moment — it’s a signal.

As Osteen points out in the interview, this is a time in which we have to embrace the new and let go of the old that has held back God’s people from fully experiencing His presence. “God will give you beauty for ashes—but as long as you’re holding on to the ashes, you’ll never see the beauty.”

As platforms collide with pulpits and influencers sit across from pastors, the real question isn’t just why Gen Z is leaning in — it’s whether the church will rise with boldness, clarity and conviction to meet them there.
