A couple of months ago, when I was praying alone with God and feeling a very heavy burden for the crisis condition of the U.S. and the world, the Holy Spirit whispered to me, “You cannot do this alone.”

At that time, I did not know that a 10-hour solemn assembly at the Washington D.C. National Mall on Oct. 12 would bring together an estimated 375,000 people in person and over 4 million livestreamers in 50 countries.

The electrifying energy that was released and internalized steeled intercessors’ resolve from that day forward.

A woman who was among the more than 4 million people who streamed the prayer gathering online said she realized that she, her family and local prayer community are joining others in the battle.

“It helped me realize we are not in this alone,” said Doris Strong, who is on the pastoral team at Equip Church in Paducah, Kentucky. “We are standing with a great army of believers who are praying in agreement.”

The full 10-hour playback is available on the Nate and Christy YouTube channel (see link in bio). Some people say they have already watched or listened to the playback two or three times.

Lou Engle says the intensity of prayer must be sustained. Engle, the founder of Lou Engle Ministries and Visionary for A Million Women, texted:

On October 12th, we gained the victory, but our work is far from finished. We must continue to stand firm and take hold of what was promised.”

Our prayers must be as intentional now as they were in the beginning. I urge people around the world to keep praying and interceding for God’s verdict to be manifested over America and the nations.

Having a scheduled time to pray with others is one way to be intentional. One of the schemes of the enemy of our souls is to isolate us from one another.

In a recent interview with Charisma, Laura Allred, the director of A Million Women, said she hopes women will continue to gather, connect, realize they are not alone and see themselves as modern-day Esthers who pray, fast and take a public stand for what they believe in.

Right now, America needs women who, like Esther, are moving past their own trauma and woundedness and arising to be a voice who connects with other voices, she said.

“I … sense that the Lord is raising up an army of women who are bold,” Allred explained. “We are greater in our own individual lives when we come together and connect with one another.”

Jenny Donnelly, who survived after being aborted from her mother, stressed the urgency of the call to prayer and action.

“The attack on the kids has gone too far! We cry May Day USA!” said the founder of Her Voice Mvmt and DontMessWithOurKids USA.

Donnelly and HVM team aim to join 1 million people in a Prayer Hub comprised of small groups of two to 10 people who meet for one hour, once a month with a provided prayer guide to help groups to “pray for our nation, states, churches, education, culture, families and more.”

At the writing of this article, on the HMV website,10,000 people have joined their voices in a public way by signing a declaration to protect and defend the next generation. The signatures will be counted weekly to affect legal change in the U.S. government.

Stressing the need to come together in prayer, Kris Kubal, a director at Intercessors for America, says when we pray with others, our voices are magnified, we see the bigger plan, we are encouraged when biblical perspective and wisdom are shared, and we receive hope in hearing others’ answered prayer as we ourselves pray.

In a recent YouTube video called “Continue to Pray!!” Engle called for targeted prayer before, during and after the U.S. elections.

“We want to call people all over the world: Keep praying, Keep interceding.”
