Stellar Kart changed things up a bit for their fourth album, Everything Is Different Now. They deliver the punk, pop-rock music they’re known for, but this album is more worshipful.
“We had performed at a camp earlier in the summer before recording, and we really discovered that we loved leading worship for youth again,” says frontman Adam Agee. “So we tried to find some of the songs that were our favorites and wrote a few new songs, too, and that eventually became Everything Is Different Now.”
Opener “All My Heart” sets the perfect tone with a declaration of praise: “I will sing forever / I am so in love with You / You have all my heart.” The fast-paced ballad “You Never Let Go” is a reminder that God is always there. Especially for listeners facing a difficult season, this song will become a declaration of faith.
The current single, “We Shine,” best reflects the band’s main desire. “As a band, that’s exactly what we want to do in front of the adults, kids, anyone listening—shine,” Agee says. “We hope that everyone will shine his or her light and not be afraid or ashamed of what they believe.”
