An estimated 375,000 people—mostly women—converged in Washington, D.C., this past weekend to be a part of A Million Women: Day of Atonement Solemn Assembly.

“This is probably the largest Yom Kippur ever gathering in history,” said Jonathan Cahn, author of the recent No. 1 New York Times bestseller “The Dragon’s Prophecy.”

“Brothers and sisters, Mordecais and Esthers, all over the world—in Africa, Asia, Europe, India—are with us today as one.”

Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the Jewish year and is observed with strict fasting and ceremonial repentance. The solemn assembly was livestreamed and, once production work is finalized, will be available for replay at amillionwomen.org.

One woman who lives in Jerusalem and hosted a watch party of the livestreamed event said the manifest presence of God was very strong there.

“I was repenting and declaring that the covenant between our nations would not be broken,” she said. “Others were out on our balcony, releasing repentance into the atmosphere—with the words of repentance coming out of Jerusalem to America.”
