In a powerful interview with Charisma Media, creator of The Chosen, Dallas Jenkins, shared some thrilling updates, including details about the upcoming premiere of the animated series, The Chosen Adventures.

Coming to Amazon Prime on Oct. 17, 2025, The Chosen Adventures follows young characters Abby and Joshua in ancient Capernaum. The series is 14-episodes long, and Jenkins made it clear that the show’s positive and hopeful tone is a deliberate choice in contrast to the cynicism and negativity that often pervades modern entertainment, even in children’s programming.
“What we’re doing is unabashedly and unapologetically positive and hopeful,” Jenkins explained. “The show comes from the perspective that the God of the universe wants a relationship with His creation.”
A key focus of The Chosen Adventures is portraying Jesus before His public ministry. Rather than presenting Him solely through miracles and teaching, the series highlights His humanity, friendships and everyday life, offering young audiences a more comprehensive understanding of His character. Jenkins noted, “We know that Jesus was a son. He was a friend. He had a job at times. He lived a life that that other human beings lived.”
Following the success of The Chosen, which has been translated into more than 50 languages, Jenkins and his team hope The Chosen Adventures will reach children worldwide, offering a meaningful alternative in the crowded streaming landscape.
