‘The Chosen’ is not the only Christian series viewers are excited about.
Dallas Jenkins, the creator of the hit show taking the world by storm, just announced that filming has begun for another series part of the “Chosen Bible universe.”
According to ChurchLeaders, Jenkins’ project with Prime Video, “Joseph of Egypt,” has just started filming.

In a Facebook post, Jenkins wrote, “Filming has begun! The expanded Chosen Bible universe is officially underway.”
The “Joseph of Egypt” series was announced at the 2024 ChosenCon by Jenkins. It is slated to be a eight-episode show.

As ChurchLeaders noted, Jenkins intends to have this show come out prior to season seven of “The Chosen.”
“…this would be one season and our intention is actually to release this before season seven of ‘The Chosen.’ So you’re going to get some Bible content before we’re done with the mothership show.”
He also said that one of the unique things about this show is how it details humanity prior Moses and the Law.
“The beauty of the Joseph story…when you [take] the stories of Jacob, Joseph’s father, and you look at the stories of Joseph and his brothers, this was before the Law. This was before Moses. This was human beings trying to figure out how to live, how to deal with some of their basest impulses, how to deal with their humanity…”
