After years of culture being subjected to darkness, public displays of Christian faith are getting a spotlight in mainstream media—and this Good Friday, that spotlight will shine bright on NBC.

Worship collective Bethel Music, known for shaping the sound of modern worship for nearly 25 years, brought their message of faith to a national audience during a special performance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The group performed their new single, “The Church,” from their latest album We Must Respond.

As reported by ChurchLeaders, Bethel Music has evolved from a “local church ministry to an internationally renowned collective,” breaking music chart records and consistently landing songs in Christian Copyright Licensing International’s Top 25 since 2013.

Led by the husband and wife duo Brian and Jenn Johnson, the group says they remain committed to their mission to “raise up worshippers.”

This appearance isn’t just a big win for Bethel—it signals a cultural moment.

Since the last presidential election, there has been a noticeable shift: Christianity, long pushed to the margins of pop culture, is being welcomed back into the public square. That’s not to say the resistance has disappeared—far from it. But events like this show there’s growing space to boldly proclaim the gospel again, even on daytime TV.

The performance is Good Friday, Apr. 18, on NBC at 3 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. CT.
