Are we seeing the final collapse of humanity?
While many people expected the rapture to happen a few days ago, scientists are warning that right now there is something else which should be on our radar: humanity’s demise due to AI.

As U.K. outlet Metro reported, scientists Nate Soares and Eliezer Yudkowsky from the Machine Intelligence Research Institute located in Berkley, California described how artificial intelligence has the ability to complete “…calculations in 16 hours which would take a human 14,000 years to figure out.”
Not only is the computing skills of artificial intelligence so far ahead of human capabilities, but they note how “synthetic intelligence” will only continue to become more difficult for humanity to control.
Metro noted that Soares and Yudkowsky told MailOnline: “If any company or group, anywhere on the planet, builds an artificial superintelligence using anything remotely like current techniques, based on anything remotely like the present understanding of AI, then everyone, everywhere on Earth, will die…Humanity needs to back off.”
This is a beyond frightening warning. The two also believe that this existential threat is so great that governments need to ready themselves to obliterate the centers which power AI and could eventually create superintelligent products.
As Christians, we recognize that the events of this world—including the rise of technologies that could threaten humanity—are ultimately in God’s hands. While these developments are alarming, we must not allow fear to paralyze us. Jesus Himself warned of the coming tribulations, yet He called His followers to remain steadfast, proclaiming the Good News in every season.

No matter how the world around us shifts, the Church must not waver. We are called to shine light in darkness, to boldly proclaim salvation, and to encourage the faithful to trust in God’s sovereignty over all creation. The end times may bring turmoil, but they also bring opportunity: the chance for every believer to stand firm in faith, to speak truth and to extend the gospel to every corner of the earth, no matter how uncertain the future appears.
