I was caught up in a vision in which the Lord showed me a sizable desert and extremely dry section of land. My senses were super heightened in the vision and, immediately, I detected there was no moisture at all in the atmosphere, which caused me to feel the unbearable heat.
There are no words to accurately convey the intense heat I felt from the blazing sun. In spite of my discomfort, my attention was drawn to an unexpected and unusual sight. A geyser suddenly burst forth in the midst of the desert! The water spewing forth from it began to overflow and flood the wasteland.
The Lord then spoke to me and said, “Tell My people that My glory is about to burst forth and flood the dry areas of their lives. And although they have faced excruciating fiery trials and have felt the heat of the battle, now comes the floods of My goodness in unexpected, unusual and overflowing proportions. I have heard their cry from the overwhelming intensity of their battles. They will, without a doubt, see and embrace the manifestation of My torrential blessing.”
Take into account that after the great judge of Israel, Samson, had taken 300 foxes, pairing them off and tying torches between their tails, sent them to burn the crops of the Philistines. Then, 3,000 men of Judah came and securely bound him to deliver him to the Philistines. It is one thing when you face opposition from an outside enemy, but another thing altogether when it comes from an inside relationship.
Samson experienced the sting of betrayal from the very ones whom God had called him to lead and deliver. Nevertheless, something inside of him would not stop fighting. It was the call and anointing of God that was imparted in him. He was called to fight, to war and to deliver those who were in captivity from the hand of their oppressors.
God has made a deposit inside of you as well. There is a no quitting spirit mandate that is upon your life. Consider all the times you tried to throw in the towel, yet the Holy Spirit kept nudging you to keep going. Are you, too, like Samson, experiencing the bite of betrayal and the hurt of rejection? If so, don’t lose heart; you are about to be revived, refreshed and soaked with His glory. It is not over for you. God has the final say. He has already made a way of escape for you.
“He came to Lehi, and the Philistines shouted as they approached him. Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him. The ropes on his arms became like burned flax and the ties on his hands dissolved. Then he found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and with it struck down a thousand men” (Judg. 15:14-15).
As Samson found himself in this great struggle, the anointing came mightily upon him. Some of you have found yourself in a great struggle, the enemy is screaming his lies and rejoicing at your defeat. Get ready for the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit to come upon you. The cords that the enemy used to bind you, are now becoming your breakthrough testimony.
“He was very thirsty, and he called out to the Lord, ‘You gave this great deliverance through Your servant, but now may I die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?’ So God split open the basin at Lehi, and water flowed out of it. He drank, was refreshed, and revived. Because of this he called the place En Hakkore, which is in Lehi to this day” (Judg. 15:18-19).
After Samson’s great victory of killing 1,000 Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey, he found himself parched and desperate for water. His dry place was so intense that he thought he was going to die. Take note of what he did: “he called out to the Lord” (Judg. 15:18). This is what will rescue you out of a spiritual drought.
When Samson called on the Lord, there was a supernatural shift, a miraculous intervention. God caused water to burst forth from a hollow place. God would have me say to you today, “Call on Me, and I will cause the hollow places of your life to burst forth. I will flood the dehydrated areas of your marriage, your finances, your health and wherever there has been barrenness. Your prayers are the tool that unlocks the supernatural geyser in the Spirit.”
Samson named the place where he experienced his supernatural geyser En Hakkore, which means, “the fountain of one’s calling.” You can also make the spiritual desert in which you live a place called En Hakkore. The caller’s fountain is a fountain of breakthrough. It is a supernatural geyser that God is extending the invitation for you to tap into. The vision that I saw is for you. He longs to flood your life with His glory. Don’t die in despair. If you are thirsty, He says, “Come drink.”
“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland” (Isa. 43:19, NLT).
Hear His prophetic announcement to you today: “I am doing a new thing in you and for you. Don’t despair. As you call upon Me, I am causing your drought to become a deluge.” {eoa}
