Since its doors first opened in 1937 to serve a tremendous need during the Great Depression, Union Mission in Savannah, Georgia, has served its homeless community through providing for vital needs: shelter, Spirit-filled counseling and job assistance.
The COVID-19 pandemic has put the dedication of its volunteers to the test, and yet the nonprofit’s mission stays the same: ending the pandemic of homelessness ravaging their community and beyond.
Rabbi Robert Haas of Congregation Mickve Israel, Pastor Charles Roberson of Kingdom Life Christian Fellowship Savannah and others have banded together in unity to spread the light of Christ and to be the tangible hands and feet of Jesus to those who need it most.
