In a recent sermon broadcast on YouTube, pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. says he put his personal cellphone number on his sweatshirt to encourage people to reach out with their prayer requests. Wilkerson says that the bright side of being afflicted with trials is that we get to experience Jesus as our deliverer, and that causes us to appreciate the good things in life more.
“In a world full of bad news, good news is the best news,” Wilkerson says. “Yet how many of you know that bad news makes good news better? Have you ever considered that if you didn’t have some bad news, I’m not sure you would actually appreciate the good news to its entirety.”
