Dr. Leana Wen, the physician who took over as head of Planned Parenthood in January, has reportedly been forced out of the organization because she’s just not pro-abortion enough for the board chairs.
In a statement posted Tuesday afternoon, Wen said she and the abortion provider’s board chairs had “philosophical differences over the direction and future of Planned Parenthood.”
According to a report from The Washington Post, Wen wanted to highlight Planned Parenthood’s other services while also expanding abortion access. The board, however, wanted the company’s president to focus solely on abortion.
