Massive layoffs in the U.S. More than half of American families living paycheck to paycheck. Escalating tariffs and trade wars. End-times expert Michael Snyder says these grim facts reveal a devastating threat to the American economy for the foreseeable future.
The late evangelist John Paul Jackson prophesied the situation more than a decade ago as “the perfect storm.”
Snyder says God is showing us these things to warn people about what’s to come—not so we can be filled with fear, but to remind us He’s still in control.
“With the recent layoffs, it has just become a tsunami,” Snyder told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “With the trade war with China ramping up and the farming industry in chaos because of the unbelievably inclement weather over the last 12 months, for a lot of people, this has become a very troubling time.
“As believers, we know that the Lord warns us in advance of things that are coming not so we can be afraid, but so that we can know He has a plan. He knew about this in advance, and He will bring us through. One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 46:9-10, which says, ‘Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, “My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My good pleasure.”‘
“Indeed, we are living in the last days, and there are things that are coming in the last days that are very concerning. But the Lord has done this for His purposes, His reasons, and He wants us to know about what’s coming.”
