The shocking Flight 618 incident involving Jonathan Cahn has taken another dramatic turn, and this time, the consequences could be far more severe for the man accused of unleashing chaos thousands of feet in the air.

Layne Lundeen, 67, the passenger who was restrained with duct tape and zip ties aboard American Airlines Flight 618, is now facing federal charges following the Sept. 3 confrontation that forced the aircraft to divert to Baltimore.

According to WBAL-TV 11, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland announced Tuesday, Oct. 13, that Lundeen has been charged with interfering with flight crew members and attendants, along with assault.

Federal authorities allege that Lundeen physically confronted crew members, refused to follow instructions and unleashed abusive language, including racial slurs, during the terrifying ordeal.

The charges carry serious consequences. If convicted, Lundeen could face up to 20 years in federal prison for interfering with flight crew members and an additional 12 months for assault.

The incident originally made national headlines after passengers restrained Lundeen with duct tape and zip ties during the Dallas-to-Newark flight.

However, Charisma’s previous reporting revealed another startling dimension to the confrontation.

Jonathan Cahn, the bestselling author and prophetic voice, was among those caught in the disturbing episode. Cahn previously described his encounter with Lundeen, including Lundeen’s outburst involving Jesus and hell.

The case took another unexpected turn when Lundeen reportedly told a court that he could not remember what happened aboard the aircraft.

Now, what began as a bizarre midair confrontation has escalated into a federal criminal case with potentially life-altering consequences.
