What happens when tens of thousands of believers fill a football stadium not to cheer for a team, but to cry out to the living God?

For Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell, testimonies are already emerging from ACCESS in Texas.

Following the massive prayer gathering at AT&T Stadium, Mitchell shared a remarkable report involving a teenage girl who reportedly experienced supernatural healing.

“Just learned that a teenage girl was HEALED of deafness and removed her hearing aids last night at ACCESS in TX,” Mitchell wrote on Facebook. “This to the glory of Christ.”

Ahead of ACCESS, Mitchell told FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth that America desperately needs God.

“I think our nation right now is hurting,” Mitchell said. “I think we all can agree there’s a lot of brokenness in our land, and God did promise that He would heal if we would turn to Him in humility and prayer.”

“He’ll bring healing to our marriages, our homes, our nation, our land,” he continued.

Mitchell also recently sat down with Charisma Media for a conversation about his book, Contend, and the spiritual urgency he sees facing the American church.

During that conversation, Mitchell encouraged Christians who have been praying without seeing an immediate breakthrough not to quit.

“I would encourage someone who may find themselves in that place to never give up on prayer,” Mitchell told Charisma. “To keep interceding, to keep knocking on the door, to keep seeking God.”

Mitchell said believers must trust God’s timing, recognizing that the Lord knows precisely when and how prayers should be answered.

That hunger for something real is also showing up among younger believers. Mitchell told Charisma that 2819 Church is approximately 95% millennials and Gen Z, and he believes this generation is tired of watered-down Christianity.

“They are tired of all of the fluff and the foolishness,” Mitchell said. “They actually want to be confronted. They actually want to hear truth. They actually want to be transformed or changed.”

From a stadium filled with prayer to a teenage girl reportedly removing her hearing aids, ACCESS reminds us that Christians aren’t called merely to talk about the power of prayer. We’re called actually to pray and to trust Jesus Christ with what happens next.
