Yom Kippur is just days away, and Amanda Grace says America should pay close attention.

In a new prophetic message, Grace pointed to the approaching Day of Atonement as a critical moment for repentance and warned America, Congress and the church about what she believes may come next.

Yom Kippur begins before sundown on Sept. 20 and concludes after nightfall on Sept. 21. It is known as the holiest day on the Jewish calendar, the Day of Atonement, marked by fasting, prayer and repentance.

Grace connected this year’s observance to Acts 27, where the apostle Paul warned those aboard a ship of impending danger after “the fast,” a reference traditionally understood as the Day of Atonement.

“Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is within the critical window from 9/11 to the midterms for us,” Grace said. “It is a day of repentance.”

That biblical detail is not incidental.

Paul warned the centurion that continuing the voyage could bring disastrous consequences, yet the centurion listened instead to the ship’s pilot and owner. The voyage ultimately encountered a violent storm.

Grace believes there is a warning in that account for America’s leaders right now: Human expertise cannot replace spiritual discernment.

She also pointed backward to Yom Kippur 2025, when the federal government entered a shutdown on Oct. 1. Grace believes the timing is prophetically a call to repentance.

“And the message was repent,” Grace said.

She then connected that event with the unusual sequence she has been watching unfold: the storm she experienced in New York around America’s 250th birthday, Rosh Hashanah beginning on Sept. 11 this year and now the rapidly approaching Day of Atonement.

Her warning ultimately comes down to foundations.

Moving from Acts 27 to Jesus’ words in Matthew 7 about houses built on rock and sand, Grace argued that storms do something important: they uncover what was already underneath.

“Storm doesn’t create the foundation,” Grace said. “It reveals it.”

Grace believes that principle applies not merely to individuals, but to institutions across America. She said coming pressures will expose foundations within Congress, the Trump administration and even the church. She warned that the dividing lines may not be as simple as Republican versus Democrat.

With Yom Kippur now only days away, Grace’s message is ultimately less about watching a date on the calendar and more about what the date represents: repentance, humility and getting one’s spiritual foundation in order.

“Pray about it. Test the spirit,” Grace said as she concluded her prophetic warning.
